During September and early October 2024, BV’s audit team—Adis Barucic (Lead Auditor and COC Expert from Sweden) and Piotr Zawadski (Lead Auditor and COC Expert from Poland)—conducted a certification audit for BV Finland’s client, Huhtamäki Oyj, Fiber Foodservice EAO segment.
This audit resulted from the successful cooperation between the Huhtamaki segment team and BV as their certification body, as well as the dedicated efforts of the Huhtamaki team in the segment’s Central Office, represented by David Bříza (Sustainability & Compliance Manager and Scheme Manager), and local representatives from a total of 17 countries. Their work focused on designing, preparing, and executing the official launch of the new Huhtamaki global multi-site certificates.
During this audit, a total of four sites and the Central Office were audited according to sampling rules. The BV audit team visited Poland (two sites), Spain (one site), and Finland (one site and the Central Office).
Huhtamaki representatives expressed their satisfaction with the service, professional approach, impartiality, and competence demonstrated by the BV team (both the local office and the audit team). The Huhtamaki segment team is currently working on closing some points, while the BV team is finalizing the report. Both parties are awaiting a positive decision from the technical review of the audit results and the approval of their FSC® COC and PEFC COC multi-site certificates.
